Basic Information

Our community-based practice is committed to health promotion and education for children, adolescents, and young adults. We emphasize education through the use of prevention counseling, developmental assessment, and physical evaluations geared to the age appropriate level for each child. Despite all good intentions, illness does occur. Our goal in the care of illness is to offer patients alternatives for returning to a state of wellness. Many times the body can be aided in self-healing through the use of nutrition, herbal remedies, environmental alterations or home remedies. At other times prescription medications may be required. We will attempt to describe the benefits, risks and side effects of each option. It is our wish that each office visit become an educational experience that will encourage self-healing, independence, and parenting skills.

Phone Calls

We urge parents to call whenever concerning questions arise. We view phone calls as educational extensions of office visits. Calls will usually be handled by the clinic Registered Nurse unless a provider’s input is required. Phone conversations may be used to solve a specific health concern or to decide whether a child requires an office visit.

After Hours Triage

If you are our patient and have an urgent question or concern after business hours you can call the After Hours Triage Service at (206)-997-7739. They are a group of experienced pediatric nurses, paid by our office, to provide nighttime and weekend advice. Their hours are from 5pm to 8am, and available all day every weekend and major holidays when our office is closed.
